Millridge Mustang Message
|
We have officially finished the first full month of the 2026–2027 school year! It has been wonderful watching our Mustangs learn, grow, and become more comfortable with their classroom routines and our school community. From building new friendships to taking on new challenges, our students have already accomplished so much in just one month. We are so proud of the energy, effort, and Mustang Pride they bring to Millridge each day!
With a new month comes new opportunities to learn, grow, and make memories together. We encourage our Mustangs to continue putting forth their best effort, showing kindness to others, and taking pride in all that they do. We are excited to see what this next month has in store!
Student of the Month: Celebrating Respect
This month, we have been focusing on Respect as our character trait. We are proud to recognize students who demonstrate respect through their everyday actions, including treating others with kindness and consideration, listening to others, valuing differences, and helping create a welcoming school community.
Tomorrow, Friday, October 2, we will celebrate our Student of the Month recipients at our Rise and Shine Celebration. Students selected by their teachers from each grade level will be honored for demonstrating Respect and being positive role models within our Millridge community.
We look forward to celebrating these students and the wonderful contributions they make to our school community!
October Character Trait: Responsibility
As we begin October, our new character trait focus is Responsibility. Throughout the month, we will encourage our Mustangs to demonstrate responsibility by making good choices, taking ownership of their actions and learning, following through on expectations, and being dependable members of our school community.

Celebrating Our September Students of the Month!
A huge round of applause to our September Students of the Month! Throughout the entire month, these outstanding students stood out for consistently showing RESPECT, in the classroom, on the playground, and everywhere in between.
Whether treating their peers with kindness, listening attentively to teachers, or taking care of our school environment, they set a fantastic example for all of us. Check out their photos below, and join us in congratulating them on this well-deserved recognition! Keep up the amazing work!

Read-a-Fun is right around the corner! Join us from October 5 - 23 as we raise money to support the Millridge PTG and all the wonderful things they do for our students and our school, AND get our kids excited about reading! We have lots of fun prizes and events planned this year. We will be rewarding both fundraising AND reading, so there will be plenty of opportunity for every student to participate. We are also thrilled to announce we will be partnering with the Mayfield Public Library. We can’t wait to share more information with you soon! |
September is Attendance Awareness Month, and we are committed to partnering with you to ensure your student is in school, learning, and thriving. Consistent attendance builds strong habits, supports academic success, and keeps kids connected to their school community.
To keep you informed and support your family early, our district attendance policy tracks absences as a percentage of total school days completed so far:
-
7% of days missed: You will receive an email check-in from our team.
-
10% of days missed: You will receive a phone call to discuss how we can help.
-
15% of days missed: We will contact you to schedule a meeting and collaborate on an Attendance Improvement Plan tailored to your child.
Please note: Because these percentages are calculated based on the total number of school days elapsed, your child’s percentage will naturally shift as the school year progresses. Missing just a couple of days early in the term can temporarily spike this percentage, but consistent attendance moving forward will bring it back down.
Check our attendance packet you received at Meet the Teacher for more details and review the document below, and reach out anytime if your family needs support getting to school on time!

Dear Parents/Guardians,
School fees have been loaded to student accounts and are now available for review and payment in Infinite Campus / Fees. Please log in at your earliest convenience to review your child's fees and submit payment online via credit card. (Mayfield is a cashless/checkless district, online payments only).
All fees are due by October 31, 2026.
Fees are used for any and all consumable items (i.e., math workbooks, handwriting workbooks, ELA benchmark supplies, synergy supplies, IXL/Seesaw/Schoology subscriptions, etc).
Please note that unpaid fees may impact a student's ability to participate in certain school activities, including field trips.
If you have any questions regarding your child's fees, please contact your child's school office for assistance.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

You have access to a revolutionary smartphone app that helps to improve communication, school bus safety, and efficiency. The Edulog Parent Portal app provides you with planned time and location information for your child's bus ride to and from school. On a daily basis, the app will show you the GPS location of the bus and send you a push notification when it is nearing your bus stop.
This app is free of charge for our parents, caregivers, and students. In addition to displaying the location of your bus and sending the notifications, you can also receive time-sensitive messages from our transportation department. You will also receive notification when a substitute bus is running your route due to maintenance, absences, etc.
The Edulog Parent Portal app integrates with our school bus routing system, which is also provided by Education Logistics, Inc. (Edulog), a premier provider of school bus technology. School bus locations are sent from a GPS device installed on each bus which not only provides up-to-date information for you, but also for our school bus maintenance staff who need to know the real-time location of each bus for maintenance and other service requirements.
Security is important. Only you have access to your student’s transportation information through the app via a secure login process. You must know your student’s school of attendance, ID number and date of birth in addition to the exact spelling of his or her first name and last name.
Please know that our goal is to provide safe and efficient transportation for all Mayfield City Scholl children riding our buses and vans. By improving communication and expanding the information available to you by implementing this app, we are working hard to meet and exceed that goal.
Additional information about using Edulog Parent Portal is available on our web site at:
If you have additional questions regarding the app, please contact our transportation department at: 440.995.7890
Attached are directions on how to get the Edulog Parent Portal app up and running!
